If a car does not have a manufacturer’s warranty, it becomes the owners’ risk to repair the car in the event of a mechanical or electrical breakdown.

For that matter, the more a car has aged or higher the car’s millage, the more likely the car will have a mechanical or electrical breakdown.

Luxury & Super cars has literally thousands of moving parts combined with the latest in computer and electrical technology.

With the complexity of these cars, any medium size repair could costs you thousands of ringgit to repair the breakdown, not to mention the thousands of ringgit you would have to spend to replace any malfunction parts.

As a captive warranty provider, our warranty package are highly competitive in rates. In the event your car has a mechanical or electrical breakdown, Wheel Guard shall repair and replace the malfunctioned parts of your car at no additional cost, to make your car properly functioning.
Only for our Premier Warranty, before a warranty can be purchased from us, the car must be approved under our inspection and pre-assessment, which will be carried out at our Authorized Panel and the car must not be registered more than 5 years at the time of application/inspection.

For Supreme and ETP Warranty Package, the car need not be inspected but must not be registered more than 5 years at the time of application/inspection.

For Motor Breakdown Warranty (MBW) and MBW+, the car need not be inspected but must not be registered more than 9 years or having clocked more than 150,000km on the odometer reading, at the time of application/inspection.

All cars that Wheel Guard warranty MUST BE maintained and serviced as follows:

     – with fully synthetic engine oil change every 6 months/10,000 km; OR
     – with semi synthetic engine oil change every 3 months/5,000 km; AND
     – transmission/gear oil change every 12 months/20,000km, whichever comes first (collectively “Recommended Service Interval”) within a tolerance of 500kms either side of the Recommended Service Interval or within 10 days either side of due date.

Wheel Guard’s Auto Warranty is underwritten by Wheel Guard Insurance Ltd (Labuan) [Labuan Company No.:LL09947] [WG Insurance]. WG Insurance is a company incorporated in Labuan, Malaysia and is a licensed Captive Insurer [License No: IS2013144] under the Labuan Financial Services & Securities Act 2010 to:
     – Manage the Auto Warranty Risk of Wheel Guard Group.
     – Reconstruct Wheel Guard Group’s insurance package by securing the support of international and rated underwriters and reinsurers.
     – Place out Wheel Guard Groups’ Auto Warranty Risk to offshore market.
     – Allow the Wheel Guard Group to expand its Auto Warranty Risk business to the Asian Region.

WG Insurance was jointly set up by Challenge Group Underwriters & Managers (L) Inc and Wheel Guard Auto Management Sdn Bhd:
     – Wheel Guard Auto Management Sdn Bhd assumes Auto Warranty Risk on all types of Luxury & Super Cars – New, Recontioned And Pre-Owned.
     – Challenge Group Underwrites & Managers (L) Inc on the other hand is a licensed Underwriting and Captive Manager in Labuan and provides services to manage and represent insurance, reinsurance and captive companies registered in Labuan. With its supporting main offices of Kuala Lumpur, London and Moscow, it has the expertise, experience and in-depth knowledge and understanding of the international insurance and reinsurance industry. Furthermore the Challenge Group arm in UK is a licensed reinsurance broker under the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

No, this is not a motor Insurance Policy. A motor Insurance policy is only purchased to repair accidental or collision either own damage or third party.
As a captive warranty provider, we have clearance from Bank Negara Malaysia that our warranty business does not come within the purview of Bank Negara. We also have Bank Negara’s approval to have our warranty business directly underwritten by Wheel Guard Insurance Ltd (Labuan).
All Wheel Guard Warranty Packages can only be purchased at our office, at our Authorized Panel, through our Marketers or through online.

Except for Motor Breakdown Warranty+ (MBW+) where you can purchase EWarranty Cover Note online and pay the appropriate Warranty Fee directly to us through our Marketer.

For all other warranty package, all our authorized marketers, sales consultants and advisers marketing and promoting the warranty packages, may only receive the application form and submit the car for inspection (if required) but have no authority or right to issue the warranty or to collect any payment on our behalf.

We also have several promoters i.e. used car companies/our Authorized Panels, who market and promote the warranty packages. These companies may receive the application form and submit the car for inspection (if required) together with limited authority or right to collect any payment on our behalf. These authority and right is subject to our approval. Please always check before making any payments.

Although the warranty package is marketed and promoted by the above person/persons/body, they can only receive the warranty application form and are required to submit the forms of the potential customers together with their car for inspection and pre-assessment (if required) for our approval before their warranty application is approved by our management.

Except for Motor Breakdown Warranty+ (MBW+) and MBW, where the Warranty Fees to purchase E-Warranty Cover Note online has been fixed for all types of passenger vehicles (Malaysia, Japanese, Korean makes and Mercedes Benz).

For other warranty package, in regards to pricing, a number of factors have been taken into account in determining the Warranty Fee. These include the type of car, the age of the car and kilometers traveled, the car’s history in relation to servicing, where the car is driven and any form of modifications to the car.

Primarily we have two (2) price list:
     (a) for re-conditioned unregistered cars and cars registered less than six (6) months at the date of warranty application;
     (b) for pre-owned cars registered more than six (6) months at the date of the warranty application.

The price list further depends on the number years and the type of Warranty Package purchased at the time of the warranty application. The final warranty fee shall be as determined and stipulated by us in our invoice.

For Motor Breakdown Warranty (MBW) and MBW+, the car need not be inspected but must not be registered more than 9 years or having clocked more than 150,000km on the odometer reading, at the time of application/inspection.

Only for our Premier Warranty, before a warranty can be purchased from us, the car must be approved under our inspection and pre-assessment, which will be carried out at our Authorized Panel and the car must not be registered more than 5 years at the time of application/inspection.

For Supreme and ETP Warranty Package, the car need not be inspected but must not be registered more than 5 years at the time of application/inspection.

FOR PREMIER & SUPREME WARRANTY

1. You are to either to drive or tow the car directly to our Authorized Panel for assessment within seven (7) days of the breakdown. You can either call your motor insurance company or OUR AUTO ASSIST at 1300 80 1088 for assistance. Any excess payment requested by the towing company may be absorbed by us subject to distance of towing and the severity of the breakdown;

2. Kindly state the followings at our Authorized Panel:
     (a) the Warranty Number, car registration number and current odometer reading;
     (b) explain the full nature of the problem remembering that you are required to disclose to us all information which is relevant in assisting us to assess the breakdown. If you fail to disclose such information, the warranty benefit shall become void.

3. Upon receiving your car, based on your above information, our Authorized Panel shall assess the breakdown and determine the malfunction part. All repairs and replacement to parts that are within the warranty benefit shall be repaired and replaced at no cost to you provided THAT:
     (a) the Warranty Package is valid, subsisting and not void at the time of the breakdown;
     (b) You have submitted the car and a duly signed Assessment Form to our Authorized Panel;
     (c) You had carried out the car’s Maintenance/Service within the Recommended Service Interval at the Authorized Panel;
     (d) You had not carried out the car’s Maintenance/Service and/or Repair at an unauthorized workshop/service center;
     (e) the Warranty Benefit hasn’t been excluded under the Exclusion Clauses stipulated in our terms and conditions including but not limited to accident claim, modifications to the car, non-disclosure, fraud, misrepresentation, undue influence by You; in which case the Assessment Form shall be rejected by us and the Warranty terminated.

4. The malfunctioned part is not in respect of Parts Not Under Warranty as stipulated in our terms and conditions.

You can either call your motor insurance company or OUR AUTO ASSIST at 1300 80 1088 for assistance. Any excess payment requested by the towing company may be absorbed by us subject to distance of towing and the severity of the breakdown;

2. Kindly state the followings at our Authorized Panel:
     (a) the Warranty Number, car registration number and current odometer reading; and
     (b) explain the full nature of the problem remembering that you are required to disclose to us all information which is relevant in assisting us to assess the breakdown. If you fail to disclose such information, the warranty benefit shall become void.

3. Upon receiving your car, based on your above information, your workshop/service centre shall assess the breakdown and determine the malfunction part.

4. You are request the workshop/service centre to contact us and we shall forward them an Assessment Form. Upon receiving your Assessment Form and based on your above information therein, we shall liase directly with the workshop/service centre and assess the malfunction or breakdown and determine the malfunction part. All repairs and replacement to parts that are within the warranty benefit shall be repaired and replaced at no cost to you provided THAT:
     (a) the Warranty Package is valid, subsisting and not void at the time of the breakdown;
     (b) You have submitted the car and a duly signed Assessment Form to the workshop/service centre;
     (c) You had carried out the car’s Maintenance/Service within the Recommended Service Interval at a workshop/service centre of your choice;
     (d) You had carried out the car’s Maintenance/Service and/or Repair at a workshop/service centre of your choice;
     (e) the Warranty Benefit hasn’t been excluded under the Exclusion Clauses stipulated in our terms and conditions including but not limited to accident claim, modifications to the car, non-disclosure, fraud, misrepresentation, undue influence by You; in which case the Assessment Form shall be rejected by us and the Warranty terminated.

5. The malfunctioned part is not in respect of Parts Not Under Warranty as stipulated in our terms and conditions.

FOR MBW & MBW+

1. You are to either to drive or tow the car directly to our nearest Authorized Panel workshop/service centre for assessment within seven (7) days of the breakdown. You can also call your motor insurance company for assistance. We shall not bear any towing charges.

2. Kindly state the followings at our Authorized Panel:
     (a) explain the full nature of the problem remembering that you are required to disclose to us all information which is relevant in assisting us to assess the breakdown. If you fail to disclose such information, the warranty benefit shall become void. the Warranty Number, car registration number and current odometer reading; and

3. Upon receiving your car, based on your above information, our Authorized Panel workshop/service centre shall assess the breakdown and determine the malfunction part.

4. You are to contact us and we shall forward you an Assessment Form either through email/fax/app. Upon receiving your Assessment Form and based on your above information therein, we shall liase directly with you and assess the malfunction or breakdown and determine the malfunction part. We will further advise and assist you on the required repairs, replacement to parts and the purchase of competitive original/OEM/used parts based on your budget. We could also arrange for the required parts to be sent to the Authorized Panel (on your behalf). Your warranty benefit will cover either the Authorised Panel’s labour or the parts which will sent to you (which you will have the Authorised panel fix/replace unto your car), up to the limit of your warranty coverage. You may be required to pay the Authorized Panel or the Parts supplier additional cost in the event your overall repair cost exceeds your warranty coverage limit PROVIDED THAT:
     (a) the Warranty is valid, subsisting and not void at the time of the breakdown;
     (b) You have submitted your Assessment Form to us;
     (c) You had carried out the car’s Maintenance/Service within the Recommended Service Interval at a workshop/service centre of your choice;
     (d) You had carried out the car’s Maintenance/Service and/or Repair at a workshop/service centre of your choice;
     (e) the Warranty Benefit hasn’t been excluded under the Exclusion Clauses stipulated in our terms and conditions including but not limited to accident claim, modifications to the car, non-disclosure, fraud, misrepresentation, undue influence by You; in which case the Assessment Form shall be rejected by us and the Warranty terminated;
     (f) the malfunctioned part is in respect of the Parts Under Warranty as stipulated in the E-warranty Cover Note terms and conditions.

Except MBW and MBW+, all our Warranty Package comes with free 24 hour Roadside Auto Assistance through our service provider AXA Assistance.

MBW and MBW+, does not have 24 hour Roadside Auto Assistance coverage.

You can call the toll free number 1300 80 1088 for roadside assistance and towing service in the event of breakdown subject always that it will be valid throughout the warranty period. Once the Warranty Period expires or the Warranty is made void, the auto assistance automatically expires.

Only MBW+ offers Personal Accident coverage on You over and on top of the purchased Warranty Coverage on your car.
Except MBW and MBW+, all our Warranty Package allow for a multiple of warranty benefit within the Warranty period. There is no limit on the number of visit for warranty benefit assessment subject always to our terms and conditions on exclusions and the limitations on certain Warranty Package stipulated above.

MBW and MBW+, allows you only one (1) successful claim during its validity but you may purchase a fresh coverage upon your claim subject always to our terms and conditions on exclusions and the limitations on certain Warranty Package stipulated above.

Only our Premier Warranty Package does not have any limit on the warranty benefit subject always to our terms and conditions on exclusions however our other Warranty Package has limitations as stipulated above.

All our other Warranty Package has limit on the warranty benefit subject always to our terms and conditions on exclusions however our other Warranty Package has limitations as stipulated above.

For Premier & Supreme Warranty Customers, upon signing up Wheel Guard warranty, you MUST maintain or service your car only at our Authorized Panel and You MUST repair your car only at our Authorized Panel within the recommended service intervals.

For ETP and Exclusive Warranty Customers, upon signing up Wheel Guard warranty, you MUST maintain or service your car at any workshop/service centre of your choice within the recommended service intervals.

For MBW and MBW+ Warranty Customers, upon signing up Wheel Guard warranty, you MUST maintain or service your car at any workshop/service centre of your choice within the recommended service intervals but and You MUST only carry out warranty benefit repair on your car at our Authorized Panel.

All cars with Wheel Guard warranty MUST BE maintained and serviced as follows:

Except for MBW and MBW+, You can transfer the benefits of your warranty to the new owner of the car upon Wheel Guard’s written approval which shall be subject to Wheel Guard’s absolute sole discretion and provide that:
     (a) the car is sold/transferred/registered to a direct new purchaser, without the involvement of any used car sales company or individual or agency;
     (b) the condition and state of the car is unequivocally satisfactory upon Wheel Guard’s fresh inspection;
     (c) the car is sold/transferred/registered in the name of the new purchaser seven (7) days from the purchaser taking possession of the car;
     (d) the new purchaser agrees to observe by the terms and conditions of the Warranty Package; and
     (e) none of the exclusion clauses under our terms and conditions has taken place.
You may cancel the warranty package at any time subject always that there shall not be any refund whatsoever of the warranty fee to you.
